Growing Senior Population to Serve
The aging adult population is rapidly growing and anticipated to make up 20% of our entire population by 20301. This growth means the current Medicare population of over 42 million2 will rise to nearly 753 million in the coming years. This demand will require a supply for more providers, especially nurse practitioners as more and more become the primary provider of services in all practice settings.
Among the Medicare population, 45% are living with three or more chronic conditions3.
